Northampton Saints contrast in their game fortunes. For instance, the game that they played last time with Castres saw them managing to keep the minimum point requirement. However the game that they played against Bristol Rugby saw them winning with a score of 32 against 26. This win was not very dominant for the team as they had to make several attempts and defend at the same time.
However the director of the team, Jim Mallinder was satisfied with the win. The game saw two attempts coming in from Louis Picamoles. This helped the team to stay in a dominant position in the first half. However, Bristol did not give up easily and soon there was a tie position. With two penalties that Bristol gained put the Saints back on a victorious position.
The team has now gotten some big international players such as George North, Ben Foden, Luther Burrell, Kieran Brookes and others. Northampton has made several changes in the team since the last victory they had against Bristol. It remains to be seen how well the team plays with the new international players added. The England captain is still working off his suspension and hence, would be unavailable for the European games that are being played now.
The other changes in players of the team include Louis Picamoles and Jamie Elliott being put to rest while Harry Mallinder would be replacing JJ Hanrahan in the inside center position. Others like George North, Luther Burrell and Ben Foden would be coming in for the game this weekend and it is hoped that they will try and make a difference in the team. This would also help to boost their international game playing chances. The weekend game is definitely something that the fans are looking forward to, despite harsh weather conditions.
